Uvita

Uvita is on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. We had heard that it wouldn’t be too touristy, and it wasn’t. Like any beach area, there were certainly people, but it wasn’t crazy. Also, they were mostly Ticos (Costa Ricans), not obnoxious tourists. The actual beach is run by a semi-governmental marine preservation organization. They charge a nominal fee.

We had a great time there. On the first full day, we walked way down the beach to the north, swimming and hanging out. On Christmas, the second day, we just hung out a bit more.
